Although training camp is nearing, the Golden State Warriors have yet to officially sign a free agent this summer. However, the Warriors have been linked to multiple veteran free agents throughout the summer. Once Jonathan Kuminga’s restricted free agency contract stalemate is resolved, the Warriors are expected to sign multiple free agents.

With the deadline for restricted free agents to accept their qualifying offers by Oct. 1, an end in Golden State’s negotiations with Kuminga could be looming. Once Kuminga’s situation is solved, the Warriors will turn to free agency.

Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II have been popular names linked to the Warriors, along with another veteran shooter with family ties to Golden State. Seth Curry, Steph’s younger brother, has been another player connected to the Warriors.

According to Marc Stein of The Stein Line, “there is a strong expectation” the Warriors will sign Curry in addition to Horford, Melton and Payton II.
