The Sacramento Kings have re-signed guard Terence Davis, the team announced on Tuesday.

With their 2025 media day, and training camp in close succession, new Kings general manager is giving Davis a chance to compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Sacramento did not release the deal’s terms, but Spotrac’s Keith Smith reported that the deal is a “non-guaranteed training camp contract” for Davis and that he “likely signed an Exhibit 10 deal.”

Davis likely signed an Exhibit 10 deal, which should see him eventually join the Stockton Kings of the G League.

That likely explains the recent decision to waive his previous standard contract and restructure the deal.

An Exhibit 10 deal would also entice Davis to spend time with their G-League team in Stockton and would reward him with a bonus if he remained with Stockton for 60 days.

Davis previously spent two and a half seasons with the Kings, including their Beam Team season that broke the playoff drought, but was not re-signed in the 2023 offseason.

More recently, Perry brought Davis in for the final three games of their regular season. He only saw the floor for roughly eight minutes, and that came in game 82.

Prior to that, he had been rehabbing from an Achilles injury he suffered while playing for Portland’s G-League team in January of 2024.

Now, he’ll get a chance to prove he deserves a spot on Sacramento’s roster. But it’ll be an uphill battle competing with an already crowded guard room.

The Kings now have 18 players under contract, including their two-way players, with a maximum of 21 permitted at training camp.

Sam Amick, NBA insider for The Athletic, joined The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross to break down the latest with Golden State Warriors’ forward Jonathan Kuminga and his complicated, drawn-out restricted free agency.

While sign-and-trade seemed like a more likely avenue earlier in the offseason, the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns have consistently been the pairing reported as interested in the 22-year-old.

Amick reported earlier in the week that Sacramento had offered the Warriors Malik Monk and a protected 2030 first-round pick.

“First of all, the Warriors don’t want any protections on the first-round pick,” Amick said.
