Boston Celtics icon Larry Bird scoring a career-high 60 points vs. the Atlanta Hawks

While there are plenty of fans of the Boston Celtics who can tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing when star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum tied Hall of Fame Boston forward Larry Bird’s franchise record for scoring with a 60-point performance, fewer fans by a significant amount can say the same about the night Larry Legend set that record in the 1980s.

The game in question came against the Atlanta Hawks and future Celtics alum Dominique Wilkins. A contest with lore for the ages, Hawks players were cheering for the Hick From French Lick by the end of the night he was so otherworldly in his scoring capabilities.
