Jordan Poole will get a new opportunity to prove himself on the New Orleans Pelicans.
Poole was traded to the Pelicans in the summer as New Orleans wanted to pair him with their core of Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones.
Poole is a few years removed from winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors and he’s been out of the limelight after spending two years with the Washington Wizards.
However, this season Poole is eager to get back to his winning ways.

Poole played with Kevon Looney for four seasons on the Warriors, from their time together in 2019-20 to the 2022-23 season, which included them winning a championship in 2022.
The Pelicans signed Looney this summer to a two-year, $16 million deal. The veteran will add some much-needed frontcourt depth.
In 76 games for the Warriors last season, Looney averaged 4.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 51.4 percent from the field in 15 minutes per game.
Poole is excited to be playing with Looney once again and is looking forward to all of the screens he will set for him.

Jordan Poole will have a big role on the New Orleans Pelicans
Poole is expected to be the Pelicans’ starting point guard to begin the season.
After a tough first year in Washington, Poole bounced back last season, having a career year, averaging 20.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in just 29.4 minutes a game.
He also improved as a three-point shooter. He ranked fifth in three-point attempts per game (9.1) and shot 37.8 percent from deep.
Coming to New Orleans will offer Poole a nice change of scenery. He can be in a winning environment, which is something he hasn’t experienced since his days with the Warriors.
