Dallas had just a 1.8 percent chance of receiving the No. 1 spot.
The franchise got the top selection, and they now have the right to draft the projected No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg.
The Mavericks’ massive draft win comes after a rollercoaster season that included the stunning trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
They did receive Anthony Davis in the deal but would get eliminated from the playoff contention after losing in the Play-In tournament to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The shocking NBA lottery result caused superstar LeBron to react on social media.
The four-time NBA champion posted several laughing emojis on X after the news.
It seemed that James was in hysterics over the Mavericks jumping 10 spots from their projected spot.
As for Cuban, who was the Mavericks’ longtime owner and now owns a stake in the team, he shared his excitement over the news.
“Unreal. OMFG. Let’s Go Mavs,” he wrote.
Other NBA stars reacted to the Mavericks’ achievement, as LeBron’s former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Kevin Love wrote, “I mean come on man [laughing emojis].”
‘She’s so gorgeous’ – Denver Nuggets star Christian Braun’s mom turns heads after being spotted on live TV broadcast
“This goes to show why faith and always believing are so important folks,” Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris commented.
Mavericks power forward PJ Washington reacted to his team’s NBA Lottery win and simply wrote side-eye emojis.
And Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes showed his fandom for the Mavericks.
“OMGGGGG!! Let’s goo!!!!” the three-time Super Bowl champion wrote.
“GOOO @dallasmavs,” Mahomes wrote in another post.

The Mavericks became the fourth team in NBA history to win the lottery with odds below two percent.
As a result, NBA fans slammed the league, claiming the lottery is rigged.
The Mavericks will get the chance to draft Flagg, who won nearly every major national player of the year award in his freshman season with Duke.
He had an average of 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists and helped lead the Blue Devils to a Final Four appearance.
