Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.
As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Trey Johnson put up big numbers at Jackson State University, where he averaged 27.1 points a game as a senior during the 2006-07 season. Following that season, he entered the NBA draft but went undrafted. After very brief stints with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors, he came to the Lakers late in the 2010-11 season.
The 6-foot-5 guard appeared in one regular-season game with the Lakers and scored six points, and he got playing time during three playoff games that year while totaling three points, four rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes during those contests.
Johnson got onto the court for 11 games the following season as a member of the New Orleans Hornets. He later had stints with teams in Venezuela, Israel and Japan.
