The Boston Celtics continue to make headlines for their roster shake-up this offseason. The franchise is nearing a $6.1 billion sale, and several key players have been moved out of the rotation. Amid the ongoing dramas, the Celtics’ former player is leading the headlines now.

Fall started his NBA career with the Celtics. In 2019, the Celtics drafted him, and he played the Summer League, scoring six points and four rebounds in his first game. In the G League, he averaged a double-double, 12.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. He also earned All-Defensive Team honors and later again signed with the Celtics in 2020.

However, Fall is now training to become a firefighter. The 7 feet 6 inch Fall showed up to him wearing full firefighter gear while trying out different training drills. A recent video surfaced showing him carrying an axe and entering a smoky training room with a trainer. His task was to secure a human-sized dummy from the room and safely bring it down the stairs.

Despite the challenge, he completed the task successfully and showed excitement after finishing the drill. The Celtics face a tough season ahead without their key player, Jayson Tatum, but the franchise will never forget Fall’s short but effective role for their core. However, Fall’s new journey was something fans did not expect to see, but his effort and attitude inspired many.

Once a fan favorite with the Celtics, Fall will continue his basketball career overseas. Though he never became a regular player in the league, his size and athleticism made him stand tall. After playing short stints with the Celtics and Cavaliers, he went on to play in China and Australia.

Tacko signed with the Ningbo Rockers in China. Last season, he had solid numbers in Australia’s NBL with an average of 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks.

While he may not fit the modern NBA style, His on-court excellence continues to grow his game and play professionally worldwide.
