The Memphis Grizzlies are heading back to Nashville for the start of training camp this season, the team announced on Sept. 23.
This will be the second consecutive year where the Grizzlies will be opening camp in Nashville. Memphis will have training camp from Sept. 30-Oct. 2 on the Belmont University campus at the Crockett Center. Practices are not expected to be open to the public.
Media day will also be held in Memphis on Sept. 29 before the Grizzlies depart for Nashville. The Grizzlies will also hold their annual open practice for fans in Memphis on Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. at FedExForum.
The Grizzlies have several unanswered questions as they go through a period of transition. Tuomas Iisalo is in charge of a new coaching staff after Taylor Jenkins opened the last six seasons as the Grizzlies head coach. Roster mainstay and team leader Desmond Bane was also traded this summer as the team shifts its roster around stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
The Grizzlies will return to Memphis at the conclusion of camp and began preparing for preseason action. Their first game will be at home on Oct. 6 against the Detroit Pistons.
