Amazon Prime is building a strong roster of talent to cover the NBA this season, already bringing in ex-stars like Blake Griffin and Dirk Nowitzki.

But their latest hire is not a former star but, rather surprisingly, someone who is currently playing in the league: Philadelphia 76ers guard Kyle Lowry.

“We look forward to Kyle’s contributions to our team both this season as an active player and in the future,” says Amina Hussein, Prime Sports Head of On-Air Talent. “His authentic personality and deep understanding of today’s game will offer viewers unique analysis as we deliver NBA coverage that celebrates the game, and educates fans around the world.”

Lowry is expected to have “increased responsibilities in the future” on Prime, likely when he retires. He is under contract for the entire 2025-26 season. It may feel similar to when Draymond Green appeared on TNT.

“I’m excited to start the next chapter of my basketball journey with the Prime Sports team,” said Lowry. “The talent they’ve assembled is incredible, and together we’ll deliver something fresh and special for basketball fans worldwide. It’s an honor to be part of this from day one, and I’m committed to sharing the insights I’ve gained from my career through NBA on Prime for years to come.”

Taylor Rooks will host the studio show. Other studio analysts include Griffin, Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Dwyane Wade, Candace Parker, Udonis Haslem, Rudy Gay, Swin Cash, and John Wall.

Prime’s play-by-play announcers are Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlan, Michael Grady, and Eric Collins.

Color analysts are Stan Van Gundy, Wade, Nash, Parker, Brent Barry, Dell Curry, and Jim Jackson.

Sideline reporters include Cassidy Hubbarth, Kristina Pink, Allie Clifton, and JayDee Dyer.
