The Phoenix Suns are entering a new era this season after parting ways with both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.

The Phoenix Suns have restructured their team around Devin Booker who they hope will have a big year.

Booker has to show the world that he is still one of the best shooting guards in the league.

If the Suns want to shock everyone, they need a total team effort and key contributions throughout their roster.

The Suns claimed guard Jordan Goodwin off waivers this past summer after he was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Goodwin averaged 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 29 regular-season games for the Lakers.

Goodwin even got some playoff minutes with the Lakers in their first-round matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During his tenure with Los Angeles, Goodwin got valuable experience being around superstars like Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

He now hopes he can take what he learned and apply it to the Suns’ current situation.

Goodwin addressed the media at Suns media day and he talked about being back with the Suns and what he can bring.

“The shooting’s definitely going to carry over, I’m getting better at that through my career, I’ve put emphasis on that.

“The thing I can bring here after being with the Lakers is learning how to play with star players.

“I feel like I got better playing with Luka and ‘Bron, and I can do some of those things here with Book and Jalen Green.

“I feel like I fit in perfectly here.

“Once I got waived, Phoenix was one of the first calls that I got. My agent told me, I was like let’s do it.

“When I was here I loved Phoenix, I loved the community, I loved the fans. It was an easy decision to come back.”

Jordan Goodwin’s career stats
