Tyrese Haliburton reflects on getting a banner at Hilton Coliseum

Former Cyclone Tyrese Haliburton reflects on getting a banner at Hilton Coliseum for his Olympics gold medal

Every team needs a good-luck charm, and for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, that just might be Caitlin Clark.

The Pacers have been one of the hottest teams in the playoffs since tipping off last month, beating the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks in five games during the first round. They now hold a 3-1 lead over the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, putting them on the brink of a second straight Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

And Clark has been there almost through it all. As one social-media user was quick to point out, the Pacers are 6-0 this postseason when the former Iowa Hawkeyes star shows up.

Clark was in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for Games 1, 2 and 5 of the Pacers-Bucks series and was last seen for Game 4 of the Pacers-Cavs series when Indiana won 129-109.

Caitlin Clark is friends with this Indiana Pacers star

Besides supporting her fellow Indiana pro team, one of the reasons Clark might be attending the Pacers postseason games is to support friend Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton was one of the first Pacers to welcome Clark to Indianapolis after getting drafted by the Indiana Fever last spring, and both have been spotted attending each other’s games ever since.

After the former Iowa State standout hit a game-winner during Game 2 of the Cavs series, Clark took to social media to congratulate Haliburton, who had recently been named the NBA’s most overrated player in a players survey published by The Athletic.
