The Boston Celtics have signed Duke standout Wendell Moore Jr. per CelticsBlog’s Noa Dalzell. The move completes the Celtics’ roster for training camp and the 2025-26 NBA preseason slate of games set to kick off for Boston on Oct. 8, with the full 18 slots allowed by the league in the offseason now occupied.
Moore, a 24-year-old, 6-foot-5 shooting guard who was was picked up with the 26th overall selection of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks, has played at the NBA level for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Charlotte Hornets, as well as several stops in the G League, most recently with the Iowa Wolves.

He put up a respectable 5.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game with the Hornets last season while shooting 37.0% from 3 and 47.4% overall, and career averages of 19.2 points, 4.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game at the G League level.

Moore will join fellow camp invitees Kendall Brown, Jalen Bridges, and Ron Harper Jr. as they compete for a two way spot in camp and preseason.
