Georgia basketball coach Mike White has received a three-year contract extension, the school announced on Friday, Sept. 26.
It comes after a season in which the Bulldogs reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015.
White’s new financial terms were not announced. He will be under contract through the 2031 season.
White, entering this fourth season at Georgia, made $3.61 million this past season, which ranked 11th in the SEC and 33rd in the nation, and his pay was rising to $3.71 million this season.
White is 56-46 in three seasons at Georgia including 20-13 this past season.
Georgia also announced contact extensions for three coaches who won national championships in the last school year: track coach Caryl Smith Gilbert, women’s tennis coach Drake Bernstein and equestrian coach Meghan Boenig.
Bernstein won the indoor and outdoor national titles last season, Smith Gilbert the NCAA women’s outdoor championship and Boenig the national title in equestrian.
“These coaches were part of an outstanding year for Georgia athletics and continue to build their programs for future success,” athletic director Josh Brooks said in a statement. “They each represent our department in a first-class manner and serve as exceptional role models for our current and future student-athletes. We look forward to many great days ahead.”
Bernstein and Smith Gilbert will be under contract through 2031 and Boenig through 2029.
Bernstein got a one-year extension for the second year in a row. He received another extension after Georgia reached the NCAA women’s tennis championship in 2024.
Smith Gilbert, who coaches both the women’s and men’s programs, already was getting a one-year extension as required by her contact for winning the national title, but the new agreement announced by Georgia takes that another three years.
Boening got a four-year extension.
