Former Wisconsin standout forward Duje Dukan announced his retirement from professional basketball this week, according to a post from the program.

Dukan played for the Badgers from 2010 to 2015. After playing a limited role as a freshman and sophomore in 2010-11 and 2011-12, respectively, he emerged as a key bench contributor as an upperclassman. On Wisconsin’s 2013-14 Final Four team, Dukan averaged 8.1 minutes, 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds. He then took steps forward in every category on the 2014-15 Final Four team, averaging 15.9 minutes, 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

The Deerfield, Illinois, native signed with the Sacramento Kings after going undrafted during the 2015 NBA draft. He played the 2015 Summer League with the organization, plus spent much of the regular season with its G-League affiliate. The former Badger made his one and only NBA appearance on April 13, 2016, during which he totaled six points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes.

Dukan then played a season in Croatia before returning to the NBA. He went on to spend the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons in the G-League, though he did not return to an NBA roster. He spent the last several years of his career overseas in Spain and Belgium.
