After an offseason marked by several roster moves, the Washington Wizards enter the 2025-26 season aiming to take a step forward and further their rebuilding efforts.

The organization acquired Malaki Branham, Dillon Jones, CJ McCollum and Cam Whitmore via various trades, while parting with Malcolm Brogdon, Richaun Holmes, Jordan Poole and Marcus Smart. They re-signed Marvin Bagley III to a one-year contract.

Washington had a busy draft, selecting Tre Johnson (sixth pick), Will Riley (21st) and Jamir Watkins (43rd), respectively. Johnson and Riley project to have the chance to compete for rotation minutes, while Watkins will spend time in the G League on a two-way contract.

With the team opening training camp on Tuesday, Rookie Wire examined the Wizards’ depth chart and offered an early projection of the starters and backups entering the season.
