Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

David Nwaba, a 6-foot-5 wing, broke into the NBA during the 2016-17 season with the Lakers. He was a local product who had attended University High School in West Los Angeles and played at Santa Monica College and California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He went undrafted in 2016 and spent some time in the NBA Developmental League (now known as the G League) before the Lakers brought him in.

In 20 games during the 2016-17 campaign with L.A., Nwaba averaged six points and 3.2 rebounds in 19.9 minutes a game. He moved on to the Chicago Bulls the next season, and he would play for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets over the next four seasons before his NBA career ended.

The 32-year-old currently plays for the San-en NeoPhoenix of the B.League in Japan.
