Check out highlights from the Aliquippa and South Allegheny semifinal game

Check out highlights from late in the fourth quarter between Aliquippa and South Allegheny Saturday afternoon in the PIAA Class 3A semifinals.

One of the top-rated WPIAL and PIAA boys high school basketball prospects has made his decision.

Lincoln Park senior guard Josh Pratt wrapped up his college recruitment on Sept. 27, officially committing to Columbia, becoming the first athlete from the charter school to commit to an Ivy League program.

A three-star recruit per 24/7 Sports, Pratt is the highest-ranked point guard in the state of Pennsylvania and the seventh-best prospect in the state overall.

The senior point guard’s recruitment journey featured a plethora of offers from various Division I programs across the country. He narrowed down his final four schools to Columbia, Drexel, Northeastern and Robert Morris on August 31.

Pratt began his high school career at Lincoln Park as a freshman, transferred to Aliquippa during his sophomore and junior seasons, before returning to the Midland-based charter school for his final season with his younger brother Jeremiah Pratt in June 2025.

After transferring back to the Leopards program, Pratt was ruled officially eligible for postseason play on Sept. 2.

Last season at Aliquippa, the guard was named to the PA Sports Writers all-state team for the second consecutive year, averaging 22 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, knocking down 49 three-pointers.

Along with being named to the all-state team, Pratt was also named Class 3A’s player of the year after helping Aliquippa advance to the WPIAL Class 3A Championship and PIAA semifinals against South Allegheny. He was also named the Beaver County Times’ boys high school basketball player of the year.

Pratt is the younger brother of former WPIAL basketball standout L.A. Pratt, who helped Lincoln Park to a pair of WPIAL Championships and PIAA semifinal appearances during his career with the Leopards.

The older brother was also a Division I basketball recruit, spending time at Elon and is now a senior at Northeastern.

Now with his college decision out of the way, Pratt can focus on his senior season at Lincoln Park. He looks to guide a young program back to prominence, the one that his older brother and fellow Lincoln Park greats like Maverick Rowan, Meleek Thomas and Brandin Cummings helped build.
