Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.
As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Late in the 2018-19 season, the Lakers signed guard Scott Machado to a 10-day contract. He had played four seasons at Iona University in suburban New York City and went undrafted in 2012 before appearing in six games for the Houston Rockets during the 2012-13 season.
Machado had played for a number of teams overseas before joining the G League’s South Bay Lakers in 2017. He played in four games for Los Angeles in 2019 and totaled 10 points, three assists and one steal in 19 minutes.
Afterward, he left the States once again to continue his basketball career. He last played for Minas Tênis Clube, a basketball club in Brazil.
