The Utah Jazz are laying down the building blocks to return as a title contender in the Western Conference.

Since Danny Ainge took over as the Utah Jazz’s CEO of Basketball Operations, the franchise has slowly collected assets.

The Jazz have helped facilitate multiple trades, including that of Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers. But what about the team’s own situation?

Well, here are all the major changes that Ainge and the Jazz have made ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

With the Jazz drafting Ace Bailey in the 2025 NBA Draft, it seems they want to build a dynamic duo with Lauri Markkanen.

As Bailey and Markkanen prepare for their first season together, the Jazz have also traded for a veteran in Jusuf Nurkic.

However, that’s just one of the Jazz’s four additions to the roster, excluding re-signings, this summer.

While the Jazz have acquired several veterans via trades, they will likely lose Kevin Love soon. After all, Love is rumored to join the Lakers after negotiating a contract buyout with the Jazz.

Following a 17-65 finish last season, head coach Will Hardy’s job isn’t going to get any easier in the upcoming season.

Why? Well, the Jazz have decided to break up their core of stars ahead of the new season. That included trading John Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as the Jazz have also parted with several other notable stars.

Considering those changes, the Jazz’s 2025-26 starting lineup will look very different from recent times. All eyes will be on how well Bailey can perform for the team and if he can lead them to a playoff berth sooner rather than later.
