Former Maryland women’s basketball player Christy Winters-Scott was inducted into the Washington Metro Basketball Hall of Fame Sunday.
Winters-Scott spent four seasons playing for the Terps, from 1986-1990. She was a key part of the 1989 squad that brought Maryland its eighth ACC Championship and also made it to the Final Four. As a senior, Winters-Scott was a first team All-ACC member and led the Terps with 17.8 points per game.
Winters-Scott has been an on-camera basketball analyst since 2006, when she accepted a position with Comcast SportsNet. In November of that same year, she was inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame.
