Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s seventh signature shoe with Nike has already released three colorways since its debut on July 29th, and there are still more to come.
Among the three on the market, Antetokounmpo revealed that the pink-colored shoe known as the “Livewire” colorway is his favorite. In fact, according to Giannis, all pink colorways of his signature shoe are always his favorite.

“Whenever I get the pinks, I always love it. I was a boy’s dad for the longest. And it reminds me of Eva. Look now. And actually the other shoes, Aria’s name is not in there. But look, it’s Aria, I just noticed that,” he said.
Giannis now has four good reasons to play harder
Antetokounmpo has always prioritized family and now that he is a father, nothing means more to him than his children, especially his two daughters.
Growing up in a family of five boys, Giannis always wanted to have a daughter and be a “girl dad.” However, he and his fiancée, Mariah Riddlesprigger, were first gifted with two boys — Liam Charles in 2020 and Maverick Shai in 2021.

It wasn’t until 2023 that they finally had their princess — Eva Brooke. After Giannis and Mariah wed in September 2024, their marriage was immediately blessed with a second daughter, Aria Capri, born just last May. Now, Antetokounmpo has four good reasons to play harder.
“To make a long story short, guys, I was always going to have some pinks just because it reminds me of my girls. Whenever I step on the court, I always try to represent them and be the best player that I can be for them. And hopefully, I can play long enough for them to see me kick some butts,” said Bucks star.
Safe to say, Giannis isn’t going away anytime soon
Back in 2021, Antetokounmpo’s mindset was different. He told former Bucks announcer Paschke that he would give up, even his basketball career, if his firstborn wanted him to do that.

“If my son asked me, ‘Dad, when are you going to retire and play more with me?’ I’d retire right now,” said Giannis.
Four years later, he is singing a different tune — well, sort of. It’s not that daughters mean more to fathers than sons, but female children are inherently closer to their male parents because when they grow up, they look up to their dads for protection and emotional support.
There’s no better security than having the best basketball player on the planet as your father.

Aria doesn’t turn one year old until next year. And she will likely begin to understand that her dad is one of the best players in NBA history when she is around 6 to 8 years old. So that’s good news for the Milwaukee Bucks and bad news for the rest of the league, as the Greek Freak will continue to terrorize them for many years to come.
