Finch touched on All-Star Anthony Edwards having the necessary DNA to win MVP, the evolving role of forward Jaden McDaniels, and what second-year point guard Rob Dillingham’s role could look like this year.
Connelly noted that this is his 29th year in the NBA and he’s never seen the Western Conference be deeper and better. In other words, 42-40 could be a pretty record this season. But is that good enough to avoid the play-in or heck, even make the play-in?
Connelly was asked about being out of the second apron cap-wise this year, unlike last year. That will benefit him and his front office when it comes to flexibility on many fronts.
