Anthony Edwards is looking to bring the Minnesota Timberwolves to their first ever NBA Finals.

Anthony Edwards has come close to accomplishing that feat, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to back-to-back Western Conference Finals.

However, both times the Timberwolves were quickly dismissed and didn’t have a chance of winning the series.

Coming into this season Edwards seems motivated. Edwards has added a new move to his arsenal over the summer and has been working incredibly hard on his game.

Edwards is entering his sixth season in the league and he is looking to take that next step and enter those MVP conversations.

Timberwolves general manager Tim Connelly spoke about Edwards’ development at media day and he thinks Edwards can become one of the best players ever.

“He’s became really addicted to the film room this off-season.

“His work ethic has always been great but this year was on a whole other level.

“His body is in unbelievable shape.

“We think he can become one of the greatest players of all time.”

Anthony Edwards could be in line for his best season yet

Since entering the league in 2020-21, Edwards has gotten better every season.

In 2024-25, Edwards averaged a career-high 27.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists on career-best 39.5 percent shooting from three.

Edwards led the league in three-pointers made with 320, finishing ahead of Malik Beasley and Stephen Curry.

With his three-point shot becoming efficient and his post-up game improving, Edwards could average close to 30 points per game this season.

Anthony Edwards needs to put the Timberwolves on his back, if Minnesota finally wants to get over the hump.
