Oklahoma City guard Cason Wallace says he’s focused on strength and leadership heading into the new NBA season.
“It feels great. I feel like I’ve learned a lot within those two years. And I keep getting better after each season,” Wallace said after Day 1 of Thunder training camp. “So I’m excited to see what I can do this year.”
Wallace emphasized that improving his strength was his top priority during the offseason. “Just getting stronger, that’s going to help me on both ends of the floor,” he said. “That was one of the main focuses.”
The 20-year-old also praised the team’s chemistry, saying the culture within the Thunder locker room continues to stand out. “You could tell the way people were talking to each other. They know how they respond to certain situations,” Wallace said. “So, you know, we were just hyping people up and just playing together like we did last year.”
Wallace pointed to J. Will’s vocal leadership as a standout during the first practice. “You could tell he was ready to get back out there,” Wallace said.
