EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Michigan State men’s basketball landed a commitment from four-star class of 2026 forward Julius Avent on Wednesday.
Avent, a senior at Bergen Catholic in New Jersey, chose the Spartans over Xavier and Seton Hall. The 6-foot-7 forward is ranked as the No. 13 power forward in the class of ‘26 by 247Sports.
Avent is the second commitment in Michigan State’s 2026 recruiting class, joining guard Carlos Medlock Jr., who led Wayne Memorial to a state runner-up finish last season before transferring to Link Academy in Missouri for his senior year.
