NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Pelicans star Zion Williamson is extending a helping hand to the victims of the Bourbon Street terror attack.
According to ESPN, Williamson will donate $100,000 to the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Tragedy Fund.
“As a father, son, and someone who loves the community, this hit me hard,” Williamson said. “This isn’t just about money —but standing together and making sure no one feels alone.”
Williamson has missed most of the Pelicans season as they sit with a 5-29 record, but according to reports, he’s begun on-court work in practice and plans to return to the rotation soon.
