On weekday mornings, Nevada Sports Net will recap three big headlines of the day in its Morning Download. Read below for today’s topics.
1. Kyle Guy lands with Pacers, paving way for Jarod Lucas addition
Nevada assistant coach Kyle Guy has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the NBA’s Indiana Pacers and will come out of retirement to play for the G League’s Noblesville Boom. Guy joined the Wolf Pack’s staff this offseason but will now resume his playing career. Going in the other direction is former Nevada star Jarod Lucas, who played last season in the G League as well as a stint overseas but will now join the Wolf Pack bench as an assistant replacing Guy. Lucas is only 25 years old and could have had playing options but will embark on his coaching career in silver and blue after helping the Wolf Pack reach back-to-back NCAA tournaments in 2023 and 2024 while earning all-league honors both seasons after a three-year stint at the Pac-12’s Oregon State.
