In a small sample size Seguin-Lescarbeau is in the top ten in most of the league’s goaltending categories.

He feels his game has been solid in the early going, particularly with two consecutive victories..

“I feel good. I’m having fun here so far. I work on things during practices and I analyze what I do to try to make it better. Back home I have a guy I practice with. If I need to call him I can do that. I’ve played junior quite a bit so I have previous coaches so if I need something I have good relationships I can rely on.”

A crease chemistry is developing with Seguin-Lescarbeau and his partner Riley.

Seguin-Lescarbeau said the pair have become quite close.

“He’s a very nice guy. I have a lot of fun with him and we’re laughing a lot. He’s a little but younger than me but I have a brother who’s the same age. In practice sometimes we figure out drills together and work together on what we’re going to focus on.”

Clippers highlights from a 5-0 win over the Langley Rivermen on Sept. 26.

The Clippers next have a weekend of road games where they will visit Cowichan Valley on Oct. 3 and Alberni Valley on Friday, Oct. 4.

The Capitals are off to a 4-0 start and have been statistically dominant so far.

It’s a measuring stick game Seguin-Lescarbeau said the team is looking forward to.

“We’ve got to be prepared for them, they’re a team with balance but I’m very confident with our team. We have a great group of players. It’s a challenge but it’s fun. We love having that challenge in front of us and we’re all pretty excited about going to Cowichan.”
