The Oklahoma City Thunder held their third day of 2025-26 training camp on Thursday. The four-day event will serve as a warm-up before they kick off their preseason slate.

The reigning NBA champion starts their title defense soon. Expect the rest of the league to circle their dates against them this upcoming season. After camp, Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, Alex Caruso and Ajay Mitchell.

Daigneault discussed how the Thunder can improve this upcoming season. Caruso talked about how unique a defender Cason Wallace is. Ajay Mitchell singled out one of the training camp invite guys for their performance so far.

Here’s what else happened at the Thunder’s 2025-26 training camp on Thursday:

Mark Daigneault on Thomas Sorber: “I think it’s helpful to strike a balance of getting those guys on their own schedule so that they’re not here 7 hours a day but also have them around the team at appropriate times.” pic.twitter.com/CA19UL2djR

Pretty good answer by Mark Daigneault on tangible improvements he’d like to see from the Thunder this season:

“I think it can come across as arrogant if presented the wrong way… Improvement is necessary in our situation because everyone else is getting better.” pic.twitter.com/74i7KxUp3x

Mark Daigneault on Holmgren-Hartenstein: “They look really good… They’re ready for the start of the season. They love basketball and worked really hard this summer… The fact they’re working out together is really cool. That’s not an arranged marriage.” pic.twitter.com/G6OR1eOtSy

Alex Caruso on Cason Wallace: “He’s a unique defender. He has special physical abilities a lot of people in the league don’t have… He blocked more shots in a season that I think I have in my career up to that point.”

Ajay Mitchell said his added offseason muscle has helped him stay in front of players defensively and be more physical
