The Miami Heat have faced back-to-back first-round exits in the NBA Playoffs.
A key reason behind the underwhelming result, at least, during the 2024-25 NBA season, was the departure of Jimmy Butler.
With Butler gone, the Heat are entering a new era where head coach Erik Spoelstra will be tasked with developing stars who can take the team to the next level.
While coach Spoelstra continues to develop underrated players, president Pat Riley needs to ensure that the overall roster quality doesn’t deplete.

Considering the Heat already have a core of Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo, the organization can still compete for a title in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat’s front office showed belief in the duo as they engaged in a blockbuster trade to bring Norman Powell to the roster.
On top of the Powell trade, here are all the additions to the Heat’s roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
While Powell remains the most notable addition to the roster, the Heat Nation will be excited to see how well Simone Fontecchio plays.
After all, Fontecchio already impressed fans during the EuroBasket 2025 run with Italy.

After dealing with the Butler fiasco last season, no exit would leave such a major impact on the Heat’s front office.
But even then, the most notable exits from the roster were of Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson. Keeping that in mind, here are all the players who won’t be a member of the Heat next season.

While the Heat didn’t lose any of their cornerstone stars, the absence of Love from the team’s 2025-26 lineup will likely impact the morale in the locker room.
After all, the 2016 NBA champion is known as a locker room leader and he proved that once again during the Butler drama last season.
