Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves recently appeared on a podcast and discussed his relationship with his head coach JJ Redick.

Reaves spoke on the podcast The Young Man and the Three, which is a repurposed version of the podcast The Old Man and the Three that was previously hosted by Redick before he was hired to coach the Lakers. It was a show with Reaves alongside his new teammate Jake LaRavia as well as sports media personality Ryen Russilo and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea.

During the episode, Reaves provided some insight about what it is like to play for Redick.

Here is what Reaves said:

“You can go back at him. We’ve had a couple instances of where we’ve went at each other. My grandma one day was so mad at him. [Laughs] She was like: If he yells at you like that one more time. I was like: Mamaw, it’s OK. My mother, your daughter, has yelled at me way worse than that.”

The amazing storytelling from Reaves got a big laugh from everyone, including Flea, who is a big fan of the Lakers.
