The Big Ten has been committed to women’s sports for decades, according to its commissioner Tony Petitti
Competing schools earn points based on a team’s performance in both the regular and postseason.
The Big Ten’s Conference Commissioner said the conference has supported women’s sports for several years and looks to continue uplifting their athletic contributions.
“The Big Ten’s commitment to women’s sports stretches back decades and is reflected in the competitive success we see today,” commissioner Tony Petitti said. “As we continue to explore opportunities for growth, we’re excited to… further showcase these exceptional student-athletes, coaches and teams throughout the year.”
Allstate’s partnership with the Big Ten also allows the company to become the sponsor of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament taking place March 4 through 8, 2026, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
