It seems that it is not just Marcus Smart among Boston Celtics guard alumni who are off to a rough start in terms of health as the league kicks off the training camps for all 30 teams. Former Boston guard Terry Rozier is also injured heading into camp, per recent reporting from the Sun Sentinel’s Ira Windman.
Rozier evidently tweaked the hamstring while running post-practice sprints with Keshad Johnson earlier this week, and like his former Boston teammate-turned Laker, hopes to be back on the court next week. “It’s super frustrating, but it’s a long season,” said Rozier via the Miami Herald’s Wes Goldberg (h/t MassLive’s Souichi Terada).
“I’m in Year 11. I’m not going to beat myself up over possibly missing the first preseason game of the year,” added the Louisville alum. “I’m not really pissed about that.”
“Obviously, I do want to get back on the court,” he clarified. “I’m trusting the medical staff, and I know they’re going to get me right.”
Injuries have been an issue for both Rozier and Smart in their new homes, with Rozier available for just 64 games, and Smart a mere 32.
