The ping-pong balls didn’t fall the OKC Thunder’s way Monday in the NBA draft lottery.

OKC didn’t acquire the Philadelphia 76ers’ first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. It was top-six protected, and it landed at pick No. 3. The first overall pick went to the Dallas Mavericks.

Since Philadelphia retained its pick, it’ll become a top-four protected pick in 2026 and 2027. If it doesn’t convey by then, Philadelphia will owe OKC its 2027 second-round pick.

OKC still has two picks in the draft, which is headlined by Duke‘s Cooper Flagg. It owns pick No. 15 (via Miami Heat) and No. 24 (via Los Angeles Clippers).

The NBA Draft begins with the first round at 7 p.m. CT on June 25. The second round is scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 26.

OKC owns the Miami Heat’s No. 15 pick and the Los Angeles Clippers’ No. 24 pick, which it acquired by swapping its own pick (No. 30).

OKC could have also gained Philadelphia’s first-round pick, which is top-six protected. Since Philadelphia retained its pick this year, it’ll become a top-four protected pick in 2026 and 2027. If it doesn’t convey by then, Philadelphia will owe OKC its 2027 second-round pick.
