PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – The Friars’ men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted their annual season-opening celebration, PC Late Night Madness on Saturday night.
“Today was a good practice but tonight’s for the fans,” said third-year head coach Kim English. “For the country music fans, for the PC fans for hopefully some new people in the AMP and for our new players a chance to get a feel for the environment.”

Friar fans enjoyed student performances and introductions to the 2025 squads.
“Introducing the new guys,” guard Corey Floyd Jr. when asked what the night meant to him. “Nothing compared to our first game or what is I feels like through out the season but it will be a good little warm up for sure.”
Headlining the Madness was a performance by Carrie Underwood.
The men’s basketball team tip’s off their season November 3rd hosting Holy Cross.
