San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama had a productive offseason as he prepares to return after ending last season early due to a blood clot in his shoulder.

Now fully healthy, he is gearing up for his third NBA season and looking to expand his skill set after intensive summer workouts with two legendary players.

This offseason, Wembanyama trained with NBA MVP big men Hakeem Olajuwon and Kevin Garnett, gaining insight from their years of experience.

Victor Wembanyama praised both Hall of Famers for helping him develop his game, calling the experience both unique and invaluable.

“He’s still got it, he’s 62. It was incredible because it felt natural—his advice, even though it was a lot, felt like I was absorbing it every day, and it was just a few days,” Wembanyama said about Olajuwon during a practice interview.

Spurs fans could see Wembanyama pick up skills reminiscent of Olajuwon’s legendary “Dream Shake,” thanks to his height and wingspan.

“Man, super useful, and he still got it. It’s natural for him, and it looked like it was a pleasure for him to teach. I would want to go again for sure,” he added.

Talking about KG, Wembanyama described the experience as a rare and valuable opportunity.

“He’s got a very unique perspective on relationships—as a leader, with teammates and opponents, even the refs,” Wembanyama said.

“I think he’s really smart emotionally. He’s got this energy, but he knows how to channel it and use it for the best,” he added.
