Mike Brown believes Jalen Brunson is steadily adapting to his tactics, and the New York Knicks will benefit from that,
The New York Knicks just earned their second win in the preseason, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers in Abu Dhabi.
The Knicks already beat the 76ers in their first preseason game and went undefeated in Abu Dhabi before returning to the United States.
The standout for the Knicks was Jalen Brunson, as he scored 14 points and dished out two dimes in the win.
But it was another aspect of his game that new head coach Mike Brown was impressed by, as he applauded the point guard’s adaptability.

Mike Brown spoke after the New York Knicks’ win over the Philadelphia 76ers. More than his scoring, it was Jalen Brunson’s pace and decision-making that he loved to see.
Brown noted that with the pace they play with, Brunson will get a lot of space in offensive sets, and he has the skills to capitalize. Brunson adapting to that pace is going to make the whole team better.
“Jalen, he’s starting to adjust. You can see it. I think this is going to be good for him. You see how much space he has when he brings up the ball.
“If you want to pressure a guy like Jalen with that much space, there’s a pretty good chance he can make them pay for it. I like that aspect of it.
“Him getting used to run… and still be effective, whether on the ball or off, was great to see. You can see he’s starting to get his feet underneath him a little bit.
“Understand how to play at that frantic pace and still be effective and know where his shots are going to come from.”

New York Knicks focused on championship push
Jalen Brunson wasn’t the only player to impress the head coach. Mike Brown praised Pacomet Dadiet for his performance, even if he did make some mistakes in the process.
As things stand, the Knicks have a stacked roster, but one that is currently crowded at the guard position. However, the Knicks have ruled out trading Miles McBride to make room.
Perhaps the Knicks could trade some other stars to bring more balance to their side as they aim to win their first NBA championship in 53 years.
The Knicks find themselves in a wide open Eastern Conference, and could use their talented roster to steamroll past the opposition en route to the NBA Finals.
