Bronny James has returned for his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers opened the preseason Friday, Oct. 3 against the Phoenix Suns at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
It remains unclear if James’ role will expand in his second season with the team. JJ Redick is also entering his second season as Lakers head coach.
James played in 11 games for the G League South Bay Lakers, averaging 21.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds, last season. As a member of the Lakers’ main roster, he averaged 2.3 points, 0.8 assists and 0.7 rebounds in 27 games played.
