Notre Dame women’s basketball recently received a huge commitment.

Five-star wing Jacy Abii committed to the Fighting Irish over Tennessee, she announced on Instagram.

The 6-foot-2 prospect from Frisco, TX, also had UCLA, LSU and Texas in her top five schools. Ranked No. 9 in the 2026 SC Next 100 class, Abii gives head coach Niele Ivey a perimeter-oriented forward who both shoots and passes well and is a great rebounder.

Abii missed her junior season of high school after an ACL injury last summer. After helping Frisco Liberty (TX) win two state titles, she transferred to Legion Prep, which is also in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Abii is ND’s third commitment in the 2026 class. The Fighting Irish also have No. 30 Isabella Ragone, a Georgia small forward, and Florida power forward Isabella Sangha, who is ranked No. 81.

The Irish used the transfer portal to enhance its roster for 2025-26, but now they could be on the path to enjoying even more talent and depth for 2026-27.
