The Orlando Magic have signed free agent Johnell Davis, according to President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman. Last season, Davis played at the University of Arkansas. During his 34 games, he averaged 12 points and around 2 assists per game, being named to the 2025 NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team.Davis also played at Florida Atlantic University from 2020-2024, reaching the 2023 Final Four. In 2023-24 while at FAU, he was named the American Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Year and to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team. In 2022-23, Davis earned All-Conference USA First Team honors and was the C-USA Sixth Man of the Year.Davis will wear No. 28 with the Orlando Magic.Additionally, Orlando has waived Justin Minaya. He was originally signed as a free agent on Sept. 2 and did not appear in the Magic’s preseason game on Oct. 4.The Magic’s roster remains at 21 players.
