PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Click Clack Podcast is making Portland sports history. On November 5, hosts Jacki Gemelos and Lauren Duletzke will become the first-ever women’s sports podcast to go live at a Portland Trail Blazers game, when the Blazers host the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Fans who attend the event will get more than just a live show — each $49.95 ticket includes admission to the live podcast taping, entry to the Blazers game, and a limited-edition Portland Gear T-shirt designed by a former Nike designer.

“We’re so grateful to the Blazers for believing in women’s voices and letting us build community,” said Duletzke. “This is our first live show ever, and it feels really special that it’s happening at a Blazers game.”

The Click Clack duo said they’re excited to bring a unique perspective to sports in Portland “I think that it’s gonna be cool to expose to who we are and what we stand for and what we’re all about,” said Gemelos.

“I don’t know what kind of fans we’re gonna have in the Rose Room. We’re gonna try and sell 200 tickets. Hopefully it’s gonna be a mix of a little bit of everything.” The duo hope to elevate and highlight the growing enthusiasm around women’s sports in the city.

“The fact that the Blazers are supporting women who want to talk about sports and help generate that next fan is a powerful next step to what this city can be — 365 basketball, where it isn’t men’s or women’s, it’s just basketball,” said Duletzke

For the hosts, the event is also about creating space for families and future athletes. “I’d love to see a ton of dads bring their girls — the girls growing up playing basketball and soccer,” Duletzke said. “There’s no bigger supporter of women in sports than dads of girls.”

With just nine months under their belt, Click Clack Podcast has quickly become a rising voice in women’s sports movement — and their historic live show at Moda Center is the next big step. You can buy the special promotion tickets here.
