MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will be sidelined due to an ankle injury suffered at practice on Sunday.
Morant’s injury will leave him week-to-week. The team has not announced a specific timetable for his return.
The injury comes ahead of the Grizzlies preseason against Detroit on Monday night.
The team is also without Jaren Jackson Jr., Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey, who are all battling various injuries.
Clarke and Edey are not expected to be ready for the tipoff of the regular season, while the status for Jackson and Morant is up in the air with less than three weeks to go.
