The Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat meet tonight for a preseason matchup at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo who missed the start of training camp due to a COVID-19 quarantine, has rejoined the team but is not expected to play major minutes.
After a first-round exit in the 2025 playoffs, the Bucks’ offseason was defined by change. They moved on from Damian Lillard after he tore his Achilles and have reshaped the roster with the additions of Myles Turner, Cole Anthony, and Gary Harris to balance defense and perimeter shooting.
This preseason stretch is a chance for head coach Doc Rivers to experiment with spacing and defensive versatility after an uneven 2024–25 campaign.
Miami, meanwhile, is entering its first full season since trading Jimmy Butler, a blockbuster February move that brought in Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson, and Davion Mitchell.
The Heat also signed Norman Powell this summer to add scoring depth, while Tyler Herro remains sidelined following foot surgery. Nikola Jović, fresh off a new four-year extension, and rookie Kel’el Ware are competing for a starting frontcourt role, and both are expected to see significant minutes in the preseason.
Powell made his debut earlier this week, scoring five points in limited action, while head coach Erik Spoelstra continues to evaluate the chemistry of his retooled rotation.
