“We’ll be much better than last season. At least that’s what I hope. After all, we had to overcome many problems during the season. And yet, we still made it to the playoffs. Of course, the postseason didn’t go as expected, but the mere fact that we made it there was a testament to our strength. The truth is, the NBA is very difficult. This franchise prides itself on always finding a way to fight for the title. We do that every year, and it’s become a norm. So, that’s our goal again. I think we have a good roster, with young players and some veterans. Plus, we have a competitive spirit. So, the mission is to create unity with all of that.”

The Miami Heat, in the same conference, finished in eighth place with 37 wins and 45 losses, behind the Orlando Magic with 41 wins and 41 losses and the Detroit Pistons with 44 wins and 38 losses, and above the Atlanta Hawks with 40 wins and 42 losses, the Chicago Bulls with 39 wins and 43 losses, the Toronto Raptors with 30 wins and 52 losses, the Brooklyn Nets with 26 wins and 56 losses, the Philadelphia 76ers with 24 wins and 58 losses, the Charlotte Hornets with 19 wins and 63 losses, and the Washington Wizards with 18 wins and 64 losses.

The first game ended with a 117-98 victory for the Pacers on April 19th. The second game went to the Pacers again, on the 22nd, 123-115. On the 25th, the Bucks won 117-101, making the score 2-1.
