The rivalry between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks has taken another turn. These two teams have a serious dislike for one another and it has leaked into the commentators booth for the Knicks.
With both teams playing in the Abu Dhabi games to begin the preseason, Knicks legend Walt Frazier and his broadcast partner were going over Sixers star Tyrese Maxey’s recent comments regarding the 2024-25 season for Philadelphia. The All-Star guard mentioned that it was the first time he has experienced losing in his basketball life and Frazier had a message for him on the MSG Network broadcast:
Well, he better get used to it. It doesn’t look good.
One has to believe Maxey saw the video and will use it as motivation for when the Sixers match up with the Knicks for the first time which will be on Dec. 19 in New York. It will be interesting to see if Maxey and Frazier acknowledge each other in the future.
