MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies announced Tuesday that their next preseason game will be played around a cause.

The team will tip-off against the Boston Celtics at FedExForum Wednesday night at 7:00 for Breast Cancer Awareness Night, in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Grizzlies said they’ll be recognizing and celebrating ten breast cancer survivors throughout the evening, who’ll enjoy the game from a suite and participate in multiple in-game activities, including a T-shirt toss and trick shot challenge.

Multiple non-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society and the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition, will be on the concourse at the Forum to raise awareness and pass out promo items. A mobile mammography unit provided by Baptist Women’s Health Center will be at the arena to provide screening information.

The players will be wearing “We Wear Pink” T-shirts during pregame warm-ups, and coaches will wear lapel pins during the game.
