Isaiah Stewart: Pistons-Knicks series would’ve been different if I played

Detroit Pistons’ Isaiah Stewart healthy and ‘ready to get after it’ after missing most of Pistons-Knicks playoff series Sept. 29, 2025, at media day.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren is nursing a preseason injury.

Duren missed the exhibition victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on the road on Monday, Oct. 6, with hamstring tightness, coach J.B. Bickerstaff confirmed after the team’s practice Tuesday.

Isaiah Stewart started in place of Duren as the Pistons tipped off preseason on a strong note, erasing a 21-point deficit in the second quarter and leading the entire second half. Guard Cade Cunningham paced the Pistons in 19 first-half minutes.

Duren’s next opportunity to play will be when the Pistons travel to Milwaukee on Thursday to face the Bucks (8 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network Detroit).
