SAN ANTONIO – Spurs fans waited eight long months to see Victor Wembanyama back on the court after a blood clot scare ended his season—and he didn’t waste a second proving he’s ready to roll.

San Antonio opened the preseason against China’s Guangzhou Loong-Lions, with stars Devin Vassell, Steph Castle, D’Aaron Fox, and Jeremy Sohan all out.

But Wemby? He played—and did a little bit of everything.

In just 16 minutes, he went 3-for-3 from the floor, racked up 9 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 blocks. The Spurs didn’t just win—they crushed it, 119–88.

New addition Luke Kornett poured in 16 points, while rookie Carter Bryant added 15. On the other side, former NBA standouts Frank Kaminsky and Victor Oladipo led the Lions with 22 points each.

Next stop: South Beach. The Spurs take on the Miami Heat tonight at 6:30 p.m.
