Satou Sabally on how Phoenix Mercury can come back in WNBA Finals

Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally describes the best type of basketball that the team needs to play if they want to fight back in the WNBA Finals.

There is expected to be several celebrities attending the WNBA Finals Game 3 between the Phoenix Mercury and Las Vegas Aces at Mortgage Matchup Center on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The Mercury are looking for their first win, down 2-0 in the series.

Here’s a list of VIPs who the Arizona Republic spotted at the game.

Las Vegas Raiders, Aces owner Mark Davis: Clad in his typical all-white suit with reddish bowl haircut, Davis was seen before both teams’ pregame warmups courtside next to his team’s bench. The Finals is all too familiar to Davis and the Aces, going for their third championship in four years, and winning Game 3 would put them one victory away from the title.

Phoenix Suns, Mercury legends Dan Majerle, Bridget Pettis: The team’s respective Ring of Honor inductees were shown on the arena’s Jumbotron during the second quarter. “Thunder Dan” Majerle was drafted by the Suns in 1988 and played for the team until 1995, when he was traded to Cleveland. He was one of the top players on Suns fans’ all-time favorite 1992-93 Suns team that lost in the NBA Finals to the Chicago Bulls. Pettis played for the Mercury from the team’s inaugural 1997 season until 2001, then returned to the team in 2006 and retired that year. She helped lead the Mercury to the 1998 WNBA Finals, in which they lost to the Houston Comets.
