ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Police said they’ve arrested a suspect in a triple shooting outside a Forest Park basketball tournament last month.
Forest Park police said they arrested 21-year-old Romontae Crews on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
Crews is being held in the Clayton County Jail, according to police.

Last week, Forest Park police announced they’d obtained arrest warrants for Crews in connection with the shooting, which happened in the parking lot of a gymnasium at 4295 Hendrix Drive on Sept. 27.

Police said around 6:45 p.m., an argument started during a men’s basketball tournament there. It escalated quickly, landing three gunshot victims in the hospital. Two of the victims were critically injured, according to police.
The “incident was sparked by a hard ‘common foul’” during the tournament, police said.
